Wow. I still just can't get myself on the Obama train. Sorry but I can't. Especially now that all this speech plagarizing is coming out. That's just wrong.
I am a warrior
I am ready
I am powerful now
And I am accepting it
Do you know where you want to go
I know where I want to go
Ready set HO!
Watch me
Double triple celebrate
I am focused
I am grateful
We are great
Do you want it?
Yes I want it!
I am strong now
I thank you
I love you
I am sorry
Please forgive me
I am open
To seeing things a different way
I believe it is possible
My body now restores itself to perfect health!

"I believe everything in life is an experience, something to learn from, and that happiness is a series of choices; it's not something that just sort of happens. One wrong decision can change your life."
Came across this today. Couldn't agree more.

Jeremy mentioned the other day that he and the LA contingent found their house for Ptown for the summer....is it really time already? Could summer really be around the corner? Wasn't it just Labor Day?
The lighting in Ptown is stunning isn't it? Couldn't decide which beach shot I liked better so why not all 3? Look how the light hits the water and the beach......stunning.

"A lot of people think ambition or success and they think dollars," he says. "My ambition is all in my head. I'm on a fucking journey. I'm on a walkabout. It's about collecting wisdom of emotions and heart and self and understanding. Being absolutely comfortable with your body and life and the earth, sun, and moon being the only truths. That's what my success is, getting underneath that. At the fucking end of the day, that's the only thing you're going to carry with you when you die."
Brilliant!
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

WHO: Keep A Child Alive is an organization that gets anti-retroviral treatment to children infected with AIDS in Africa. Ambassadors include: Alicia Keys, Iman, Liv Tyler and Jessica Alba, among others.
WHAT: As the highly anticipated iPhone launch approaches, so does the promise of improved communications and connectivity with people around the world. Connectivity is not limited to technology; rather, it's a fundamental fact that we are "one."
Supporters of Keep A Child Alive are taking advantage of this opportunity to raise awareness and money. For as little as $1 a day, we can keep a child alive by providing the much needed ARV drugs for those who would otherwise die from AIDS.
Representatives of Keep A Child Alive are first on line at Apple's SoHo store in order to purchase the first iPhone. The coveted device will be auctioned off on eBay by auctionwire and hand delivered to the highest bidder by a Keep A Child Alive ambassador. 100% of the proceeds go to the organization.
WHERE: Outside the Apple Store (SoHo) 103 Prince + Greene St NY, NY
WHEN: June 26 - 29th 24 hours a day
WHY: To generate awareness and raise money on behalf of Keep A Child Alive.
** My friend Laura and I will be holding the number one spot Thursday night from 7-10pm - stop by and lend your support to this great organization. **

I know the sorrow of these men
one finds his heart sitting in limbo
one whose troubles have yet to touch his light
The light shines on them both
but one will not bask
the sorrow of the man grows
the light of one man stays just as bright as before but he watches in sorrow
as his troubled dark friend leaves him.
(there was always light )
the man in the dark is so far away he no longer sees the light
now the man must search for light in others
he has lost the one who kept him bright and hopeful
the light on the man who wanted was warm , glowing, perfect.
(there was always light there)
he looked for the other but all he saw was darkness
there was no need for him to look anymore - he had all the light his heart could hold
there were better days ahead for the sorrowful man in the dark
though he could not see them.
(there was always light there)
the man in the light continued to light the lives of others.
one night a great storm soared over the man in the dark and he saw flashes
of what he once knew, beautiful light that would lead him to another.
The quiet after the storm settled the heart of the man in darkness.
he slept for 41 nights
he woke the morning of his day of angels.
the man in darkness felt the earth move in his heart for the sight before him.
the other man was the sun and had risen in his eyes.
(there was always light there)
These were the gifts he gave to the man in the dark and his endless night sky
was filled with stars.
the man in darkness was again immersed in light from stars,
the sun and even the moonlight were there at his command
it was the first time someone stayed through his darkness and returned.
they felt their hearts so close and their joy would last til the end of time.
their glasses were again filled with dreams to kiss goodnight.
all the sorrow of these two men had left.
and the night finally meets the morning sun and
there was no more sorrow for the men.
(there will always be light there)

F Is for F. Scott Fitzgerald
A genuine cinemaniac, Lauren leaped at the opportunity when he was asked to do Robert Redford's costumes for The Great Gatsby in 1973. With Francis Ford Coppola as screenwriter and Mia Farrow playing Daisy Buchanan, the movie was expected to be a blockbuster, but in the end it was mostly celebrated for its looks. The costume designer, Theoni V. Aldredge, won an Oscar, and Lauren was able to capitalize on his contribution: He included some of the Jazz Age duds Redford wore on-screen in his next collection, and added the red-hot heartthrob to his growing list of star clients.

And coincidentally, me at The Elms this past weekend, takin a breather on the beautiful lawn.
